SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
SUBMISSIONS CLOSE FEBRUARY 1ST, 2023.
We welcome submissions from Biola University students, alumni, and faculty as well as students from Christian colleges all across California. We accept poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction, poetry, and B+W artwork and photography.
TO SUBMIT:
Email submissions to inkslinger.club@biola.edu with this subject line: “23-24: [your piece name(s) – your name].”
In the body of your email, include your name as it should appear in the publication.
You may submit work from more than one category, but please include each piece in a separate file.
Label files like this: INK_23-24_[name of medium]_[title]
E.G. INK_23-24_poetry_thewasteland | INK_23-24_fiction_prideandprejudice | INK_23-24_art_monalisa
DO NOT INCLUDE YOUR NAME ANYWHERE IN THE BODY OF THE DOCUMENT.
Please submit a PDF for written works and high quality jpegs (recommended 300 ppi) or PNGs for visual work.
For fiction and creative nonfiction, please submit up to three pieces, each not to exceed 2,500 words.
For poetry, please submit up to five pieces.
For photography, please submit up to five pieces.
For art, please submit up to five pieces.
Inkslinger is currently accepting submissions in two segments: Submissions received from October 1st, 2023 to December 10th, 2023 will either be accepted or returned to the writer/artist with feedback and a chance for resubmission. Submissions received from December 11th, 2023 to February 1st, 2024 will either be accepted or rejected.
You can expect to receive a response by March 2024. We look forward to reviewing your work!
